Here is a rundown of the different styles of jeans.
STRAIGHT LEG
The straight leg cut is the much loved golden oldie. Straight and narrow right down to the ankles, this classic jean style is perfect for any body type. The straight silhouette is particularly good at helping to elongate the figure.
The best thing about the straight leg fit is that it’s perfect for any occasion, easy to dress up with a stylish tunic and blazer, or to dress down with sneakers and a casual tee.
BOOT CUT
Boot cut jeans are so named because they’re easy to wear with a pair of boots. Narrow around the thighs, they widen out subtly below the knees, producing a lean silhouette.
Boot cut jeans have been a favorite for generations, thanks to their stylish versatility; they work with pretty much any body type and can be dressed up or down for virtually any occasion.
SKINNY JEANS
Skinny jeans are a true fashion feat, creating a stunning, slimming look while still managing to be comfortable! Skinny jeans hug your figure from the waist to the ankles, yet are stretchy to ensure you can enjoy maximum movement.
WIDE LEG
This style is usually wider in the knee and the leg opening which makes it a slightly more relaxed fit through the legs. They usually have at least a 22" leg opening. Wide leg jeans are a comfortable style that will look chic worn with flats or heels. It's also a good choice for balancing out larger hips and thighs. Trouser jeans are the dressier version of this style that can be worn to work.
FLARE LEG
The biggest difference between a wide leg and a flare leg is that a flare leg is narrower at the knee. Visually, there is a much bigger difference in the knee and leg given the "flare" effect. Flare leg jeans have at least a 20" leg opening. Check out our Women's flare leg styles here!
